“GrandPa Please Tell Me...” is a novel inspired by Chris Hoffwell's life, from childhood, with parents who were part of the WW-II French Resistance. He has traveled to some twelve countries, and has spent most of his adult life in the Eastern United States.

“A Six Year Old Witnesses D-Day” is a historical presentation of what a Frenchman, who, as a six year old, lived only 6 miles from South of Utah Beach at the time and who witnessed the events of D-Day, June 6th 1944. There is also a French edition of the book.

Chris Hoffwell also translated the book "Remember" which is a true story of a Frenchman's experience as a scout for the US Army's Second Division during WW-II that he was with in 1944. He guided the whole Second Division from Normandy to Paris and then from Belgium to the German border. He later served in a French Battalion as a paramedic and a soldier in the Korean War.
